Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, new signees of Manchester United, have both been nominated for honors at this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The honor, granted by France Football, is given to the player who is regarded to be the best in the world throughout the season. It is one of the most prestigious awards in the sport.
The event is scheduled to be held on 30 October at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, with United’s Onana and Hojlund both among the nominees. Onana has been nominated for two honors.

Hojlund, who joined from Atalanta in the summer, has earned a berth on the Kopa Trophy shortlist in recognition of a standout season in Serie A and for Denmark.
Rasmus competes against 10 other players for the title of top Under-21 performer in 2022–2023, including Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham, a Real Madrid rookie.
The only player in the Premier League who is currently nominated for the Kopa Trophy is United’s 20-year-old striker.
