Even though personal details were already agreed upon, Harry Maguire’s £30 million transfer from Manchester United to West Ham “COLLAPSES” after he struggled to agree on a £7 million pay-off from his club.
The collapse of the deal comes after various reports Monday how Maguire’s move to West Ham was stagnating as United were hoping to bring in a replacement before sanctioning his departure
Last year, Erik ten Hag’s team finished third, and as a result of their return to the Champions League, the 30-year-old received a sizable pay raise.
Maguire had agreed personal terms with Moyes’ side but was set to be on less money and hence he wanted appropriate compensation to leave the club.
But so far the two parties have been unable to agree on a settlement and in turn the Hammers became frustrated by the lack of progress on the deal and have moved on to other targets.
According to his speech in March, Maguire defended his contribution to Manchester United despite slipping down to fifth-choice center-back at points during the last campaign.
He said: ‘Obviously this season, I haven’t played as much as I’d like but, for my club, I feel like my form has been good this year.
‘I know people obviously look at me not playing but when I’ve played I think in my last eight or nine starts for Manchester United we have won.
