Jordan Henderson, a former midfielder in the Premier League, is eager to play football again in England, and teams like Chelsea and Newcastle United have been touted as possible destinations.

At the beginning of the season, the 33-year-old central left joined Al Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia after leaving Liverpool. The athlete has, however, found it difficult to adjust to life both on and off the field at his new team, and he has since stated his wish to rejoin the Premier League.
In order to rejoin the Premier League, the player is willing to accept a pay decrease. It will be fascinating to see if teams like Newcastle and Chelsea are willing to give him a way out.

Chelsea has enough players in the middle of the pitch, so it would be unexpected if they signed a 33-year-old midfielder who is nearing the end of his playing days. The Blues need to sign talented young players with bigger potential if they want to contend for major trophies in the upcoming seasons.
The 81-cap England international would undoubtedly be useful to Newcastle in the near future. Because of Sandro Tonali’s suspension for his role in an illegal batting scam, Newcastle already lacks depth in the center of the park.
Henderson can play both as a deep-lying center midfielder and as a defensive midfielder. He may prove to be a valuable addition for the Magpies because of his familiarity with the Premier League.
