Erik ten Hag and Man United appear to have an interesting month ahead of them as they try to assemble a team that will perform well in the second half of the season.
Man United’s season has started disastrously because they can only win the FA Cup, the only prize available to the Premier League’s biggest clubs. In addition to trying to contend for Champions League berths, the Dutch coach will be seeking to win that competition in the upcoming months.
One player who is likely to leave Old Trafford is Jadon Sancho, and another winger may be leaving as well since a major European club has made an approach.
Negotiations between the two clubs are underway about PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United regarding a possible loan agreement for Facundo Pellistri, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to the transfer journalist, Pellistri is also being considered by LA Galaxy, who intend to make a permanent transfer proposal shortly.
Since the Uruguayan star isn’t always in Ten Hag’s starting lineup, Man United and the player will make any decisions. This season, the 22-year-old has made 13 appearances for United, logging just 363 minutes and registering just one assist.
Pellistri is not assured playing time at Old Trafford, therefore a transfer is probably preferable to advance his career. At his age, Pellistri needs minutes.
